Purpose of processing personal data
The data are used for the purposes of the Finnish Forest Industries' advocacy work, such as communications and the provision of electronic services to member companies and other stakeholders.
Data content of data file
The data file contains the usual types of contact information, which may include:
- Name
- Title
- Organisation
- E-mail address
- Telephone number
The data file does not contain any sensitive data referred to in the General Data Protection Regulation of the EU.
Regular data sources
Information obtained in connection with the activities of Finnish Forest Industries, such as meetings of the institutions and member inquiries. Subscriptions placed by individuals.
Disclosure of personal data
Data are not, in principle, disclosed to third parties. In individual cases, data can be disclosed to the Finnish Forest Industries' partners for the purposes of Finnish Forest Industries' activities (such as mailing).
The data file is partly implemented as a so-called cloud service, in which case, data may also be disclosed outside the EU/EEA.
However, data will only be processed outside the EU/EEA if the processor agrees to act in accordance with the EU data protection regulations and/or an adequate level of data protection is guaranteed in the country in question to the extent permitted by law.
Protecting data
Only the personnel of Finnish Forest Industries and the outsourcing partners providing maintenance and support for the various systems of the data file have access to the data in the data file. The data can only be processed by authorised persons with their individual user IDs.
The processing of data has been agreed with the outsourcing partners by means of data-processing agreements, as required by the EU's data protection regulations.
